Celebrating a Holy Year, or Jubilee, is a Catholic tradition dating back to biblical times that is called by the Holy Father every twenty-five years. The four sets of Holy Doors in Rome are unsealed and opened only during Jubilee Years. Their opening symbolizes a passage into grace, inviting us into a renewed commitment to living out our faith in service to others. This theme beautifully parallels the mission of our Bishop's Services Appeal.
In the spirit of this sacred tradition, our Bishop’s Services Appeal seeks to open spiritual Holy Doors within our own community, inviting everyone to participate in acts of charity and giving. Just as the physical act of walking through the Holy Doors in Rome signifies a renewal of faith and commitment, our contributions to the BSA represent a tangible expression of our faith in action. In this, we give hope to the hopeless.
Each year, we are reminded that we can support life-giving ministries through prayer and a personal offering of resources. The BSA helps us to ensure that the most essential services continue to reach the most vulnerable in our Diocese.
Please join in Stepping Through the Holy Doors by supporting the Bishop’s Services Appeal. Your commitment is a pilgrimage of hope and a testament to your belief in the promises of Jesus and that He will fulfill them.
