An evidence-based method that teaches women to recognize
their body’s signs of fertility by gaining a clear insight into reproductive
health. The method is for every stage of a woman’s reproductive life; monitoring
health as a young lady, coming off hormonal contraceptives, breastfeeding or
weaning, and approaching menopause; by applying the four (4) rules taught
during the introduction of the method.
As part of the marriage preparation requirement for the
Diocese of Lafayette, both bride and groom must be present in order for a
certificate of completion to be given. The groom/husband plays an important
role in supporting his bride/spouse through learning of the method.
Diocesan Zoom and In-Person Option (Individual Sessions)
Our office works with several local certified instructors who offer classes in-person as well as online through Zoom throughout the day and into the evening (depending on instructor availability).
The initial class is about two hours which includes the entire method and introduction to charting. From there a meeting is set two weeks later, depending on the woman's cycle, to discuss the woman’s chart.
Learn online in a group setting through BOMA-USA, the official Billings Ovulation Method site.
During the group session, you will learn the entire method and introduction to charting. Chart reviews will be private consultations over Zoom between the couple and the online instructor.
