Dustin is a passionate speaker, youth minister, and missionary evangelist from Abbeville, Louisiana. Originally aspiring to be a professional golfer, his life took a transformative turn at age 23 when he entered a Catholic-Christian seminary. Since then, he's devoted his life to spreading the Gospel.
With a background in collegiate sports and professional caddying, Dustin holds a degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice and recently earned his Master’s in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Over the past 12 years, he has reached thousands through his ministry, God Made Self Driven, speaking at schools, churches, and universities across Louisiana. A committed pro-life advocate, Dustin once spent 60 days traveling the state in an RV, presenting at nearly 90 locations.
He is also the author of The First Thirty (2019), a raw and faith-filled reflection on his early life and spiritual journey. With charisma, authenticity, and a deep trust in God’s mercy, Dustin challenges others—especially young people—to embrace their faith boldly and live out God’s purpose for their lives.
He dedicates this evening in loving memory of his grandmother, Ruby Bertrand, and his mother, Christine Laporte.
Stephen Bienvenu and his wife, Penny, have been married for over 45 years and come from large, faith-filled families. Together they have three sons and seven grandchildren, including one daughter-in-law, Yvonne, who now rests in Heaven.
Stephen retired as Vice President of Human Resources after 43 years with Boardwalk Pipeline Company. A dedicated pro-life advocate, he co-founded the Bienvenu-Smith Pro-Life Education Fund in honor of his father, Dr. Zerben Bienvenu, and family friend Dr. Bill Smith—early pioneers in the pro-life movement in Acadiana. Through this fund, Stephen has helped support pregnancy centers, student organizations, diocesan events, and educational outreach, including over 120 school presentations reaching 8,500+ students in 2024 alone.
He currently serves as President of the Carmelite Monastery Men’s Guild and is an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. John’s Cathedral in Lafayette.
Sharon is a dedicated Catholic and lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Eunice, LA. Her commitment to protecting life began in 1973 when she co-founded Eunice Right to Life, one of Louisiana's earliest pro-life organizations. Over the years, Sharon has served on both local and statewide pro-life boards, including as President of Louisiana Right to Life. She has been a constant presence at pro-life marches, attending the first National March in Washington, D.C., and lobbying lawmakers to support life-affirming policies. Sharon was instrumental in establishing the National Pro-Life Breakfast, where lawmakers and advocates gather annually to discuss the cause.
Currently, Sharon serves as a consultant on the Board of the New Life Pregnancy Center in Mamou, LA, which provides vital services to multiple parishes in need. A proud mother of four children, two of whom are adopted, Sharon is also the proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 23.
Her unwavering dedication to the sanctity of life has helped save countless babies and supported many mothers in crisis. Sharon's efforts were recognized in 1991 when the Federation of Louisiana Right to Life honored her as the “Cajun Queen of Optimism,” a testament to her boundless energy and quiet determination.
Sharon’s love for God’s precious children continues to inspire and impact generations, and her legacy of service and advocacy is one that will never be forgotten.
Jo Ann Hornsby’s legacy as a pro-life pioneer began in 1985 when she became the first Executive Director of the Acadiana Crisis Pregnancy Center. Her compassionate leadership set the foundation for what is now APregnancy Center and Clinic. Jo Ann has served as a missionary in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Brazil, where she established church and health ministries.
She has also taught ESL for over a decade. Through decades of international and local service, Jo Ann has modeled fearless faith and unwavering commitment to life.
Jo Ann is currently a leader in the women’s ministry of her local church. she has three children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
