Q: What do I need for marriage prep? A: At minimum an introduction to one method of Fertility Awareness (NFP) is required for couples in their child-bearing years. An introduction consist of a course that teaches a complete, evidence-based method of NFP and allows the option for the couple to further chart that method. Q: What methods approved for our Diocese? A:Billings Ovulation Method, SymptoThermal Method with Couple to Couple League, SymptoPro Method with Northwest Family Services, Creighton Model, and Marquette.
Q: How long does it take to complete a Natural Family Planning Class? A: It takes at least 3 months to complete an NFP course because you are required to chart for 3 cycles in order to receive your certificate regardless of the method you choose.
Q: Which NFP class is the one we need to take for Marriage Preparation? A: Any of the NFP class options listed in the above drop down lists are approved by the Diocese. Please review the information and choose the best option for you as a couple.
Q: What if my wedding date is less than 3 months away? A: Please email our office at [email protected] to inquire about this circumstance.
Q: When are the classes offered? A: Most classes are only available on the weekday during business hours. Depending on the type of NFP class after hours and weekend classes may not be available.
